			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Christmas tree is up, the stockings are hanging over the fireplace, the lights are strung on the house, and now it’s time to enjoy some of the holiday season with the National Tour of the Nutcracker.</p>
<p>The story revolves around a young German girl who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and a seven-headed Mouse King. The original book was “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice” by E.T.A. Hoffman, which has been adapted by Alexander Dumas. The music comes from popular Russian composer Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky.</p>

<p>The tour features stops from coast-to-coast, including 18 performances at the <a href="http://www.greatseats.com/theater/nutcracker/event_dates.asp?loc_id=240010" target="_blank">Auditorium Theatre</a> in Chicago; 14 shows at the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth, 35 shows at the Boston Opera House, 16 shows at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn, <a href="http://www.greatseats.com/theater/nutcracker/" target="_blank">and more</a>.</p>

<p>The tour features some shorter stops, including six shows in New York City and nine in Orlando, Fla., and a slew of longer stays – 20 performances in Chicago, Ill., thirty shows in Boston, Mass., and 24 stops in Denver, Col.</p>

<p>The ballet, which is Alexandre Dumas’ adaptation of a beautiful story set to the music of Tchaikovsky, manages to entertain children while grabbing the attention of parents alike.</p>
